Susan Shaw
LPC, She/Her/Hers
I believe connection is one of the strongest tools we have, and I focus on building a trusting relationship where you feel supported and understood. You do not have to face things alone. I am here to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and develop coping skills that make life feel more manageable. I value the healing that can grow from a steady, collaborative therapeutic relationship.
I bring twenty-six years of experience in the public school system, where I worked as both a Special Education Teacher and a High School Counselor. Those years allowed me to build meaningful relationships with students and their families and gave me extensive experience supporting people through trauma, depression, anxiety, academic stress, and major life transitions. I understand how complicated school, family, and social pressures can be, especially for young people finding their place in the world.
My work is grounded in a person-centered approach, which means the focus stays on you, your strengths, and the support that helps you feel seen and understood.
I work with preteens, teens, and adults age twelve and older.
Offering individual therapy in-person in Grand Blanc and telehealth throughout Michigan.
