about jamilyn
I am passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and build on their strengths. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe exploring their experiences, developing new skills, and working toward meaningful growth.

My clinical approach is grounded in strengths-based, trauma-informed care, with particular interests in play therapy, early childhood mental health, and supporting children and teens experiencing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I believe that each child and family brings unique strengths to the therapeutic process, and I enjoy partnering with caregivers to promote resilience, healthy coping, and positive change.

As a recent Master of Social Work graduate from the University of Michigan, I bring experience providing individual and group mental health services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, advocating for children and families, and supporting crisis intervention efforts. My clinical training has included play-based therapeutic interventions, domestic violence-informed care, and comprehensive assessment and documentation using electronic medical record systems. I have also completed numerous DWC training certifications that have strengthened my knowledge and skills in working with children and families.

Prior to earning my MSW, I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women & Gender Studies from Hope College. Throughout my education and clinical experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health, family systems, and community-based care.

I am committed to building authentic, trusting relationships with clients and their families. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, family transitions, or other challenges, I am honored to support them in developing the confidence and skills needed to thrive.
